Nate, What you say is right, because they are using Virtual Private Server Clustering. But the price is still expensive compare to Dreamhost. Price is a very big issue for me. I pay only about $140 for two years with promo code RFX50. Cheap and reasonable. Sorry guys the promo code is RFX50 for $50 discount. Subaru WRX STI is my dream car!

Kelvin, shortly after I wrote that last comment (Aug 2) I ended up moving to RimuHosting.com for multiple reasons. First I was tired of Dreamhost going down because I host client sites and the amount of time they were down was unacceptable. Secondly, I am running a few Ruby on Rails applications and, even though dreamhost does support Ruby on Rails, the apps ran very slowly. Moving from Dreamhost to Rimuhosting (VPS) was like trading in a Geo Metro for a Subaru WRX STI!

DreamHost is very cheap indeed. I have been using it for about 6 months now, and I think it is better than my previous hosting company, that don't even want to pick up my phone during the server downtime and it is way more expensive. Frustrated just like you I switch to DreamHost.
http://www.dreamhost.com/r.cgi?252837 plus $50 less for every hosting package with promo code RFX30. Hope I help someone to get cheaper hosting solution!

Just a quick followup to this post. Even though I've been frusterated (and still somewhat frusterated) I have to appreciate the honesty that Dreamhost has written here <a href="http://blog.dreamhost.com/2006/08/01/anatomy-of-an-ongoing-disaster/" rel="nofollow">http://blog.dreamhost.com/2006/08/01/anatomy-of-an-ongoing-disaster/</a>.
So until I lose money on an app I have, i'll stick with them for a while longer.
